Homer is a free software that allows you to exchange audio messages, video and internet chat. The program is available for download for Windows and Linux and requires no installation. Just run the executable to any folder once downloaded.
Homer makes it possible to establish communication with any IP address on the Internet that is within your local network without the need for a central server to manage communications. You can choose to share your video source, such as your webcam or your desktop rather than a video file that you saved. The program is used to communicate for free online via webcam, but also for example to chat with your contacts while playing a movie, rather than to offer remote support via desktop sharing or screen of a particular crop. Among the options you can change the flow characteristics of the audiovisual (resolution, sources, quality, codecs used etc..), the network settings and much more.
